So you want to get a B2 certificate?
The Cambridge B2 First or FCE is a good option because it tests a range of skills and a lot of work is done to validate the exam and share that information. That means that the certificate is widely recognised and respected.
But even if you think that you already have the level of English to get a B2 certificate, you definitely need to put in some effort to practise all the activities which are part of this exam. You need to understand the characteristics of the task, what it is testing, the strategies which we recommend to complete it, and finally you need to develop your own personal approach to each exam component. With this practice, you might realise that you actually need to know a bit more language as well.
We offer all this help to you on our courses. Achieving a high-intermediate or “B2” command of English is not easy. That’s why we offer a number of different course options. We also provide the opportunity to do a really complete diagnostic evaluation to help you decide which one is best for you. This diagnostic is totally free. You just need to get in contact with us.
Based on the result, you might decide that you need the full 120-hour course. Which will help you really increase your knowledge of grammar and vocabulary significantly, and obviously develop your language skills too. If you need to improve your pronunciation, we will help you be more aware of how and why, and to develop more control of your voice. If you see that you are already closer to this high intermediate B2 level, you might decide you need the short 40-hour course, which will give you sufficient time to practise. All the tasks of the exam focus on specific topics which will help reinforce your ability to understand and produce a range of appropriate vocabulary. You’ll do this in contact with the teacher and with a small group of classmates. We have found that this combination is very useful to get the mix of practice, feedback and insights that you need to really reach a high level in the exam.
And finally, we offer an app to work semi-autonomously, completing the activities on our platform, but with the chance to get personalized human feedback on your writing and speaking. You submit your essays and recordings on the platform and we respond. With this option, you also get to join a live class once a month to talk about some topics, or even get in touch privately with other people who are following the course.
